Today's Flowers; Pink Camellias;

21. of June, winter brings an abundance of Camellia flowers. From today the days start to get longer again and I am always looking forward to this. So winter will continue until the 1. of September. Camellias have a long flowering time. The first ones in my garden, generally the Sasanquas start end of summer and the latest ones show their blooms into spring.

Beautiful Camelias! Love the first shot, with that very unusual fountain - or is it for the birds to drink? Lovely!

Thanks for posting on Today's Flowers, and your visit at my blog!

After a short sojourn in Palo Alto, California, in February 2007, I saw plenty of camelia trees with exuberant flowers. The following Septmeber (don't forget this is the Norther hemisphere) I bought a shocking pink camelia and had plenty of beautiful flowers the following April/May. Oh, I love these flowers!

Elfe
