"When the tyrant has disposed of foreign enemies by conquest...and there is nothing to fear from them, then he is always stirring up some war": Plato
Dear Plato, you were around 428 BC–348 BC; you have reached old age, it is said 80 years in a time we call today ancient Greece. You, together with your teacher Socrates and Aristotle your student laid the fundamentals of western Philosophy which is now again in turmoil. The Levant is in flames and we are in the 21st century and are undoing all what your philosophy has given us. The sun, the moon, the sky have not yet fallen, even the clouds are probably still the same as in your lifetime. Yet technology has changed a lot. You would be surprised if you would see the technology and how warfare is fought today.
The world is badly ruled by people who are greedy and nasty and very bad for peace, freedom and happy lifes for all. Democracy is unraveling at its seams, every day a little more is chipped away and lost. Democracy has just become a word to lull the people to believe all is fine.
Well, I guess our evolution and change is never at an end. It goes up and down, sometimes good, sometimes bad and wars have always, always been part of our evolution. Sigh…
