Groundcover Convolvolus mauritanicus; I have always known this plant under this name. I am not convinced that it is its right name. The flowers are sky blue, it is drought tolerant and spreading; it needs a cut from time to time to rejuvenate its growth.
Abelia; its sweet fragrance drifts lazily through the summer garden and evokes longings for lazy, carefree days.
Abelia Grandiflora; evergreen shrub, with arching branches to 2m. Shiny dark green glossy foliage, with white flushed with pink tubular flowers. Appearing in summer to autumn. Suitable for informal hedges, and screens.

Three great shots; my favorite is the blue bush.
Lovely selection. Your garden must be utterly lovely. Even one of my big Abelia bushes has died. There is hardly anything left elive in the whole garden!
The second photo? I planted something like that, Bush morning glory. All of these are beautiful!!
I also love the selection - I am sure the second one is what you say. My Abelia survived this hot summer as well but I had it in a very shady spot
Lovely flowers! Thanks for sharing.
All of these pics are beautiful - but the had such a beautiful BLUE color! Makes me think of a blue sky.....:)

Lovely flowers! I like the blue ones best, but probably just because I've never seen them before. That's a very nice day lily.
All your flowers are so pretty. Your garden must be spectacular.
What can be more enjoyable on a cold Canadian winter day?
Admiring your flowers in Australia:)
Wonderful pictures.

Beautiful flowers, Mum. I really like the second picture, the flowers have such an intense blue. I haven't got this one yet. Love ML
It's so refreshing to see such lush gardens this time of year. Everything in my part of the world is not quite ready to wake up yet.

Your garden is just so lovely!
I love the daylily. The color is just gorgeous.
All photographed beautifully!
Hi Titania
All your flowers are wonderful!
Thanks for posting.

This convulvulus does look different to the one I am familiar with , which has mauve not blue flowers and they are more angular in shape than that in the photo. Titania, I am so impressed by how much you know. I also read the quandong post in your other blog. Thank you for reminding me of Beth Chatto's gravel garden. That could be a good model to follow, it is practical and restful. I will revisit her.
