Today's Flowers; a Rose is a Rose...

Rose "Tzigane" bought last winter has just put on a couple of flowers. One came with me into the kitchen. Its scent is delicious, a hint of citrus and mellow rose. I wish you could smell this rose's delightful scent.

Titania I have missed you, so glad you called in. I have no idea how I missed your camellia post, I thought I had got around everyone.

Is Tzigane heat hardy? She looks to have a beautiful long pointy bud. I am glad you mentioned the scent which to me is all important.
I need to replace a few dead plants and don't always trust the description on the label...bitter experience is a good teacher.

I was quite worried when I could not find you on Skywatch but you were probably in the garden.

I'll be putting up my flower post later in the evening.

I am glad that the humble Jonquil has had a resurgence in acceptability as a garden plant, for too long it has been the poor cousin to the daffodil,

What a beautiful color! To have a lovely fragrance, too, is "gilding the rose!" :) Thanks for sharing your photo. I'd not heard of this variety before.

Sounds a Japanese Rose Ma'am?

I'll look out for that variety here. I bet that is so expensive.
