Today's Flowers; Daylilies;

It is not yet Daylily time in my garden. As I am planting some now I thought to show off some of my beauties. Usually the first start to flower at the beginning of October.

Charlie Pierce Memorial is a new one I have planted now.

Champagne Elegance is a new one.

Spode; I planted last year; it was a bonus plant from my Daylily supplier Shelly.

Bold Encounter I planted last year.

Maleny Debutante; was also acquired last year.

So softly spoken, flowers since many years in my garden.

Double Orange; I received more then 30 years ago from a fellow garden friend. Her Ancestors migrated to Australia in the 19Th century and brought this plant with them.

These are just a few of my daylilies. I must admit I am addicted to them!

Wonderful daylily collection.
I love them too and have many in my garden.
But the time for the daylily to flower is almost over.
There some rebloomers, like Rosy returns and Pardon me with ruffled petals and double flowers. All of them are stunning!!
Thanks for visiting and commenting.

That orange double is a beauty! I think it will not be possible to bring plants into Australia nowadays right? The immigration at your country is very strict. Once I was entering Perth for a short holiday, my luggage was scanned and checked. Anyway, I like Daylilies as their blooms are huge and attractive. Happy gardening!

Plants in our gardens that we have from our friends as either plants or cuttings are the most special as our thoughts always linger with them as we admire the gift.
I love the gentle colours of your flowers as well as the lovely tale of that last burning orange one.

One of the teachers hit the important 50 birthday. The principal gave her a big bunch of white lilies.

At my Dad's funeral, the funeral director gaave me a stalk of white lilies, it was too beautful to throw down the grave. The others thought I couldn't let go of Dad.
